April 12th-14th
Emotions are the primary way that we come to know the world. And yet, so many of us are out of touch with our feelings. We haven’t been taught how to relate to feelings such as anger, grief, jealousy, and guilt. For many people, emotions are fraught with anxiety and confusion causing us difficulties in relationships and in work.
This 2-day experiential workshop will help us become more familiar and comfortable with the way we relate to our feelings and how we distance from them both consciously or unconsciously. The workshop will consist of short talks, group discussion, silent and guided meditations, and emotional mindfulness exercises.
Therapists and long time meditators will also benefit from this workshop.
The weekend will begin on Friday evening at 7 p.m. with an introduction to mindfulness and zen meditation. We will continue on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.. Lunch will be provided both days and light refreshments will be available throughout the day.
Lodging is available for an additional fee. Please inquire for pricing.
