Practice Schedule
Scheduled meditation sessions are held throughout the week at the following times. Anyone is welcome. Please try to arrive a few minutes before the scheduled session is to begin. Dress is casual. Traditional sitting robes are welcomed, but are not required. Please park in the lower parking area and walk to the zendo, weather permitting. The zendo is accessible to the handicapped. Handicapped parking is located alongside the zendo. Please visit the Newcomers pages if you have any questions.
Thursday, 7 — 9 PM
Chanting, sitting and walking meditation.
Sunday, 10 AM — 12 Noon
Chanting, sitting and walking meditation, followed by informal tea.

We encourage participants to bring a snack (nuts, fruit, cookies, etc.) to share and to accompany the tea we serve.

Orientation for newcomers is offered from 9 to 10 AM on the first Sunday of every month. If you are new to Zen practice, or new to the Center, please come and take advantage of the opportunity for an introduction to practice at the NC Zen Center.

Other meditation sessions and events are occasionally scheduled, including work weekends, weekend retreats, and week-long retreats. Because the scheduling of these events is subject to change, we suggest you check our Calendar page from time to time to find information on upcoming events. You can also find information on upcoming events in the most recent Kaihan.

The zendo is always available for individual quiet sitting. If you wish to come and sit quietly in a peaceful, meditative atmosphere, you will find the door open.
